Welcome to the website of all German students, who will participate in the youth& theatre meeting "Walking in my Granpa's shoes..." in Estonia (August 2008).
We are twelve girls, three boys in the age of 15-20 and two female cheperones. We are living in or around Munich, Bavaria (Germany). Most of us are attending a high school.
All of us are playing theatre in some group and that's why we are travelling to Karepa/ Tallinn in Estonia to meet other young theatre fans from Poland and Estonia in August, 9th - 19th, 2008. Some of them we met last year in Poland for a theatre project "Wandering troubadors" and 2006 for the very first theatre meeting "Once upon a time" which took place in Munich, Germany.
During the youth meeting we will work together in mixed group and develop different theatre plays which we will perform in at least two cities in Estonia. Our plays will be based on our personal families' stories from the 20th century. Some of us still have grandparents so we could interview them for the project, others were inspired only by pictures and what we heard when talking with our parents.
So you probably will read all kind of stories - some of them taking place in the early 20th century, some telling about the time during World War II and some might tell you more about the time after...
